Educating the Whole Child

"Practicing the skill of memory work is great for children. Memorizing pieces like poetry, hymns, and scripture helps train the brain to be receptive to remembering things, boosts confidence, and gives the memorizer a gift they can keep within their hearts far past the time of doing the hard work of memorizing. Even more important than those benefits, having the Word of God tucked into our hearts allows us to draw on it at any time."
– LYNDSEY, AUTHOR & CO-FOUNDER
1. Age-appropriate copywork
Children will copy the week’s verse in either print, cursive, or both. This practice improves proper spacing, penmanship, grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills. The files are available in both primary and intermediate lines, so you can print multiples for different ages.
2. Journal prompts
Each verse includes a journal prompt to connect with the passage in a meaningful way. After writing a sentence or more to complete the thought, they will illustrate. This will help solidify the scripture application to their minds and hearts while practicing creative writing.
3. Hands-on memory work
Through cut and paste and fill in the blank activities, children will easily memorize Scripture in a creative way.
