Recommended Edition Note
For this study guide, we recommend using the Dover Children’s Classics edition (1988) of The Story of Doctor Dolittle. This edition thoughtfully preserves all the wonder, charm, and rich storytelling of Hugh Lofting’s classic tale while providing a gentle, wholesome, family-friendly text that is ideal for read-alouds and independent young readers.
Book Disclaimer
As this book was written in 1945, it contains references to both tobacco and snuff. While these mentions are minor and not central to the narrative, they reflect the social norms of the era in which the story was originally published.

I really like this book study. We haven't used it yet, but I have gone through it yet, and have it worked into our plan for our homeschool year. I can't speak for how my kids like it until we actually start the unit, but I am really looking forward to it!
As an educator of ten years this curriculum has something to offer for all ages. This year I am teaching first and third in a homeschool setting. The book studies not inky offer opportunities for all grade levels , but provide opportunities to for all ability levels. It also provides a variety of cross curricular activities as well. Would recommend this!!!!.
Love how many options there are to add to the book study experience - art, cooking etc. we will pick and choose but so nice to not have to visit Pinterest!

This book study has been so fun!! My 1st grader LOVES all the hands on projects/ activities!
