Did you know that homeschool families in many states are eligible to receive state funding for homeschool curriculum, materials, and more?
Through Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) and scholarship funds, many states have made public education funds available for other types of education options, like private schools, homeschooling, and more. These funds benefit homeschool families by making education more customizable and flexible so every family can design an education to meet their family’s needs.
Treehouse Schoolhouse is thrilled to announce that many of our products and curricula are now eligible for ESA funding in several states. Learn more about ESAs to see if you are currently eligible to receive this funding where you live and how much funding you may be eligible for. This blog post includes details on how to use ESA funding to purchase curriculum and more.

What are Education Savings Accounts (ESAs)?

Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) are state-government funded programs that allow parents to use public education funds for educational purposes like private school tuition, tutoring, online education programs, educational therapies for students with special needs, textbooks or other instructional materials, and in some states, save for college.
With more flexibility and options for state-approved education fundings, in many states this gives homeschool families the opportunity to use state funding for curriculum, textbooks, and other school materials.
On average, states with ESA programs or scholarship funds offer families between $4,000-10,000 per year per eligible student. Each state has different rules and regulations around what qualifies as an ESA expense.
If you live in one of 11 states currently approved to utilize eligible funds with Treehouse Schoolhouse, you can now use your state’s ESA funds to purchase our seasonal nature studies, book studies, and more.
