Favorite Christmas Books for Kids [Free Printable Booklist]

October 1, 2025 Treehouse Schoolhouse

One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is read books together with my children. We read books during Morning Time, place book baskets throughout the house, and read books together after dinner or before bedtime. The chilly winter season makes for the perfect time to enjoy the luxury of reading cherished books together.

Each year I love to get out our favorite holiday books and add a few new ones to the list. One tradition we enjoy in our home is wrapping up each holiday book with wrapping paper. Each day we unwrap a new book to read together – whether it’s one we’ve loved for years or a book we’re reading together for the first time.

If you are looking for books to read to your children this holiday season that will warm your hearts, teach you new things about the holiday season, or share the message about the true meaning of Christmas, you will love these Christmas booklists for kids. These booklists include all of my favorite holiday books for children.
